The Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology Laboratory (P2L) is a recent, state-of-the-art earth science laboratory, in partnership with the University of São Paulo. P2L is in operation since 2018 and offers an expanding range of services which to date include gas isotope ratio mass spectrometry with a Thermo Fisher Scientific Kiel IV carbonate preparation device and a Thermo Fisher Scientific MAT253 and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) with a Malvern Panalytical Epsilon 1 XRF analyzer. The management of equipment and analyses is by dedicated qualified operators.
