I’ve received bachelor (2009) in Natural Science and Technology, department of Geosciences, Università degli Studi di Padova (UNIPD), Italy, a master degree (2012) in Environmental Biology, (with emphasis in Palynology, Marie Biology and Paleoclimatology) department of Earth Sciences, faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University, The Netherlands (2012) and a PhD in geochemistry and geotectonic at the Institute of Geosciences, University of Sāo Paulo. I have a broad multidisciplinary background experience in biological and geological sciences with specialization in marine biology inorganic geochemistry for environmental paleoreconstructions using planktic and benthic foraminifera. Present research interest focuses on the characterization of millennial climatic events during the last glacial cycle, and their impact onto Amazonian hydrology. I’m currently investigating the use of stable oxygen isotopes in foraminiferal carbonate, to reconstruct the influence of Amazon river output on water structure and stratification in the Equatorial Western Atlantic. I’m also managing the Paleoclimatology and Paleoceanography Laboratory at the School of Art Sciences and Humanities at University of Sāo Paulo, where a isotope ratio mass spectrometer MAT253 coupled with a Kiel IV device is installed.

Research interests:

Late Quaternary paleoclimatology and paleoceanography; inorganic geochemistry; carbon and oxygen stable isotopes; past ocean tracers; planktic and benthic foraminifera; isotope ratio mass spectrometry; marine geology and sedimentology
